The Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, September 20, 2021. Council member Jeff Ommert was absent. After calling the meeting to order and reciting the Pledge of Allegiance, Mayor Gunderson opened the first of three public hearings.
In human services, longevity is an appreciable quality in most employees! Sticking with a job tells an employer many things. Longevity reflects commitment. Even when the job is especially difficult, the employee made the best of the situation and stuck it out. Lastly, and most important, longevity reflects reliability and dependability. MNIS (Mid-Nebraska Individual Services) is a not for profit organization whose goal is to teach developmentally disabled people life skills to enable them to live, work and recreate in our community. MNIS Oxford/Holdrege has been a part of this community for over 50 years, additionally developing a sister program in Holdrege in the early 90’s.
