Furnas Co. Republicans to meet

Delivering rain, snow or shine for 30 years

Body Val Percival has driven a lot of miles delivering mail, and has no plans of stopping anytime soon. In just another seven years she will receive her million mile award that will also signify her being with the post office full time for 30 years.

Children’s books donated to area hospitals

Body Chi Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma, a women teacher’s society, presented over 150 new books to Tri Valley Health System and McCook Community Hospital to be given to babies or young children who might be hospitalized.

Southwest students to receive honor cords from MPCC

Body A total of 406 area high school seniors will receive honor cords from Mid-Plains Community College to wear at their graduation ceremonies this spring. MPCC presents the cords to students who have taken the initiative to pursue college credit while still in high school.
