PAXTON - After a huge victory last Friday, Cambridge traveled to Paxton the next day to take on the Tigers. Despite an impressive attempt at a last-minute comeback, the Trojans fell 55-60.

PAXTON - Riding high from a victory against undefeated Maywood-Hayes Center, Cambridge traveled to Paxton and fell short of a victory. The Lady Trojans lost 26-36, making their record 7-3.

PLEASANTON - The Arapahoe wrestling team returned to action from its holiday break with an eighth place finish at the Pleasanton Invite Saturday. Against a tough and competitive tournament field, the Warriors had two medalists, led by 132-pound Briggs Hill, who finished runner-up and led the team with 22 points toward the team total of 88.

CAMBRIDGE - The previously undefeated Maywood-Hayes Center girls’ basketball ____________________________ the season to Cambridge last Friday. The Trojans defended their home court with a 36-31 win, making their record 7-2 and the Wolves’ record 9-1.

ARAPAHOE - The Southern Valley girls played Wallace in the Arapahoe Holiday Tournament championship game and ran away with a 49-12 win.

The Lady Eagles dominated the entire game, never letting the Wildcats score more than five in a quarter. South-ern Valley limited Wallace to3 points in the first quarter, two in the second, two in the third, and five in the fourth.  Meanwhile, the Eagles scored sixteen in the first, seventeen in the second, and fourteen in the third.

ARAPAHOE - The Southern Valley and Arapahoe boys _____________________________ the championship game of the Arapahoe Holiday Tournament, and Southern Valley came away victorious. The Eagles won 58-52, making their record 6-4 and the Warriors’ record 5-5.
