KEARNEY - The Southern Valley FBLA Chapter traveled to Kearney April 11th-13th to compete in the State Leadership Conference. At FBLA SLC, students compete in business events and programs.

KEARNEY - The Maywood FBLA Chapter participated at the State Leadership Conference in Kearney on April 11th-13th. Dallas Grunden, Raelene Lanning, and Maddie Merritt placed eighth in the state with their Partnership with Business Project.

The 33rd Annual Invention Convention hosted by Educational Service Unit #11 of Holdrege was held Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the Nebraska Prairie Museum in Holdrege. There were 106 inventions submitted from students in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.

Weather permitting, a mill and fill project will begin April 22 on US-136, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Mill and fill is a process of removing deteriorated asphalt in preparation of placing an asphaltic patch to improve the roadway surface and drivability.
