City of Indianola works to obtain property

The City of Indianola Council discussed a purchase agreement for a property during their meeting on Monday, September 16. The property has a partially burned building, and by city ordinance must be taken care of. The city and the current owners are in discussions about the city being given the property.

Cambridge City Council met on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. All members were present for the meeting. After the Pledge of Allegiance and the Open Meeting Law announcement, the Council approved the Consent Agenda which included the approval of the minutes of the September 3, 2024, City Council Meeting, the approval of the Claims Report, the Museum Board minutes from the August 21, 2024 meeting and the Library Board minutes from the September 11, 2024 meeting.

By Erin Laborie, Nebraska Extension Livestock Educator Net wrap is an efficient forage binding method and significantly reduces harvest and storage losses compared to twine. According to a forage binding survey conducted by South Dakota State University (SDSU), net wrap was the most preferred method of forage binding (67%) compared to twine (26%) or both (6%) depending on the crop harvested or livestock being fed.
