CAMBRIDGE - While both offenses sputtered a bit at the outset, the Cambridge football team settled in first, then rolled away late for a 42-0 victory over Maywood-Hayes Center Friday night in Cambridge.

WALLACE - The Hi-Line volleyball team hit off to a strong start at Wallace Thursday, but couldn’t hold a lead in a five-set setback to the Wildcats. The Bulls pulled out tight victories of 25-22 and 25-20 in the first two sets, but Wallace rallied for the reverse sweep in a 22-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-21, 15-8 victory that dropped Hi-Line to 6-15 this season.

ALMA - The Arapahoe football team continued to dominate Friday, cruising to 56-16 win at Alma to improve to 6-0 this season. The Warriors scored all 56 points before halftime, including 35 in the second quarter in rolling to victory.

BARTLEY - Both Medicine Valley and Southwest put offense on full display in Thursday’s football tilt in Bartley. Southwest managed to finish far more drives with points, though, and rolled away to a 51-20 victory over the Raiders.

Geralyn Ann Knoll-Lamb Born in Ft Huachuca, Az on August 12th, 1958 to Bob and Arlene Knoll. The oldest of 6 children, has gone to her Heavenly home at the age of 66, after a 15 month battle with cancer, with her beloved family at her side.

Connie Frances Griffitt, 64, of Curtis, Nebraska passed away October 2, 2024 at Great Plains Health in North Platte. Connie was born on April 26, 1960 to Wilton Druman and Mary Frances (Buckhannon) Hill, in Crosbyton, Texas.

Danial Lucas Schulz, 49 years of age, of Holbrook, Nebraska passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at his home. He was born July 8, 1975 in Crete, Nebraska to Denis and Pauline (Harper) Schulz.

Marjorie DeLoise Reed, 92, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 5th at her home in Cozad, Nebraska with family by her side. Marge was born February 19, 1932 in Cambridge, Nebraska to Orval WM and Francis DeLoise Goodwin Foster, the second of three children.
