The Maywood National Honor Society Chapter held its animal food drive dnring the month of December. A goal was set to collect 1,000 food and hygiene items for the school’s student pantry and for the Frontier County Food Pantry. The goal of 1000 was exceeded and at the last count, a total of 1,154 items had been collected, with more continuing to arrive. NHS members delivered donated items to The Frontier County Pantry in Curtis on January 9, 2025. The Frontier County Food Pantry serves an average of 85 households per month with canned goods, dry goods, meat choices, and hygiene items. Families who benefit from the pantry live throughout Frontier County and the surrounding communities. The pantry is non-profit and functions on donations like the food drives our community schools support. A huge thank you goes out to Maywood National Honor Society and the families of Maywood Schools for their support of the NHS food drive!
