25 Years Ago-August 24, 2000 The Beaver City Swimming Pool has been a busy place since renovations were completed earlier this summer. “Swimming is a life-long sport”, said manager Pat Theobald.

The Bartley Board approved a $250 donation for Fire Safety Week and $1,200 donation to the Legion Hall and an $850 donation to the Methodist Church.

10 years ago A card club that has been around since the 1940’s is facing extinction or will need to find a new home. Information from former member Ed Puritan said the recreation card club started in 1940’s and was in the basement of the building beside what is now the Thrift Shop.

Kaitlin Spaulding is a first year teacher and will teach Family Consumer Science classes Comprehensive Health Parenting, Family Health, Foods, and Family Consumer Science for seven and eight grades and Adult Living.
BEAVER CITY – In a meeting that lasted almost 2-1/2 hours, three members of Municipal Energy Agency of Nebraska (MEAN) met with city council members and fielded questions. MEAN is the wholesale electric contractor for Beaver City.
