Mmaywood One Act, Soup Supper and Silent Auction

The Maywood High School One Act Team and coaches were a smashing success on Sunday, November 23 as they presented: “...And Others”, a one act play written by Dennis Bush. They also held a soup supper and silent auction with proceeds goign to One Act, Yearbook and Art club. The One Act Team will be heading to Districts on December 3rd.

Vaccines for Children Clinics in December

Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) will be offering Vaccines for Children at public clinics in December. Anyone two months of age and older are invited to get their vaccinations. Flu shots will still be available for anyone 6 months of age and older. The US is starting to see an increase in influenza (flu). Getting a flu shot now will provide protection during the busy holiday season and for the rest of the flu season.

Happenings from Arapahoe’s Merry & Bright on a very cold and blustery November 29th were Cappel Chiropractic serving hot cocoa and cookies at the tree lighting ceremony, Faw’s Garage held a hot dog feed, Travel Club held a soup supper, TeamMates held a soup and sandwich lunch, and Trinity Youth held a bake sale.

Sheep and Goat Producers Association conference

November 14-15 saw about 40 sheep and goat producers and other interested persons from all-around Nebraska attend the Annual NSGP Association Conference held at Wunderlich’s Barley Room in Columbus, Nebraska. The conference began with tours of the Shepard Hills Sheep and the Went Show Goat operations north of Columbus on Friday afternoon. These exciting tours were followed by the annual business meeting and a terrific evening meal prepared by Wunderlich’s.
