After approval of th prior minutes and claims, Edward Dunn, the executive director of WCNDD, presented to the Council on the programming and opportunities they offer.

Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department’s Walk to Health program is offering the “Snowflake Trek” Challenge starting December 1st through December 21st. This free walking program is open to residents of all ages in the SWNPHD nine-county health district.

The Nebraska Department of Education (NDE) released the Nebraska Student-Centered Assessment System (NSCAS) results and the Accountability for a Quality Education System Today and Tomorrow, or AQuESTT classifications Wednesday. Both reports provide insight into how students are performing academically on Nebraska’s state standards.
