Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. All council members were present for the meeting. After the Pledge of Allegiance and the Open Meeting Law Announcement, the council approved the Consent Agenda, which included the meeting minutes from the previous meeting as well as the claims.

Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) has received reports of Influenza A cases in the health district and is seeing influenza (the flu) starting to go around Nebraska and in many parts of the United States. Flu activity usually increases in the fall and winter, and we are now beginning to see more cases.

SOUTHERN VALLEY With two individual champions and four total medalists, the Arapahoe boys wrestling team finished runner-up at the 17-team Rudy Glur Invitational hosted by Southern Valley Friday. Rigley McDonald (132) and Briggs Hill (144) each improved to 10-0 on the season while taking individual titles at their weight class.

MCCOOK - The second round of the Cattle Trail Girls Tournament tipped off Friday in McCook with Southwest taking on Dundy County Stratton in a winners bracket game and Wauneta-Palisade and Hitchcock County facing off in the losers bracket.
