Hi-Line boys, Cambridge girls finish third at Hi-Line Invite

Body ELWOOD - The Hi-Line boys and the Cambridge girls each took third place to lead local teams at the Hi-Line Invite Thursday. For the Bulls, their 400 relay team of Justin Ervin, Brody Diefenbaugh, Cooper Knackstedt and Kane Cochrane ran a 44.93 to take first place.
Cambridge’s Lydia McGowen, pictured alongside Arapahoe’s Grace Andrews, nearly broke the school record in winning the 1,600 run at Hi-Line Thursday. She then shattered the record Tuesday at the DCS Invite with a time of 5:24

Trojans take title at Bulls Invite

Body JOHNSON LAKE - Led by the individual champion, the Cambridge boys golf team medaled three and captured their first team title at an invite in at least four years Tuesday at the Hi-Line Invite at Johnson Lake.
BENKELMAN - While resetting his own school record, Southwest’s Houston Billeter carded a 73 at the Dundy County Stratton Invite Tuesday and led the Roughriders to a fourthplace finish at the Invite. Billeter finished third individually. Brett Blume also medaled, taking 14th with an 85. Dylan Cornwell carded an 89, Jaxton Payton shot a 98 and Alex Lashley finished with a 117.
