In its season-opener at Wood River Thursday, the Hi-Line Post 290 seniors capitalized on free bases and built an 11-4 lead to the bottom of the sixth, but saw Wood River score eight unanswered runs to walk off a 12-11 winner.

MAYWOOD – During the monthly meeting on June 8, the school board approved hiring Margaret Sankey has a half-time librarian for the upcoming school year. Sankey, who is a certified teacher is becoming endorsed in library/ media. .

LINCOLN — Eight University of Nebraska–Lincoln students are spending part of their summer immersed in Nebraska communities as Rural Fellows. The students are living and working alongside residents in Curtis, Hastings, York and Knox County, contributing to local projects while gaining hands-on experience.

EUSTIS- The annual Wurst Tag celebration will take place in Eustis this weekend with a Road Rally on Friday followed by a number of activities Saturday. Saturday begins with a breakfast served by the FFA at the senior center with a community lunch and kids games in the park at noon.
