Monte Gordon (Rusty) Pearson, oldest son of Gordon and Roma (Hemsath) Pearson, was born Oct. 4, 1939.

After graduating from Arapahoe High School, he hightailed it to Mc-Cook to enlist in the Air Force. However, since that recruiter was at lunch and the Navy guy was in, he enlisted there and spent the next 30 years seeing the world from the deck of a ship and attaining the rank of E-9, Master Chief. This success was due in no small part to his good fortune in marrying his best friend and love of his life, Vicky Dowell, on March 3, 1962. They had two great kids, Monte Gordon Jr (Gordy) and Tiffany. After retiring from the Navy in 1987, he taught electronics and robotics at a private technical school in Mobile, AL, before retiring for good in 2001. He passed away at age 84 after a fall at home on Jan. 22, 2024. Survivors include wife, Vicky, children Gordy (Christine) and Tiffany (Eric) sister Deb, niece, Ginger (James) great nieces Kasey Bibler (Michael) and Emily Curran (Monte) and a host of friends.

Also, two very large and much loved dogs, (Cedric and Fiona). Service at a later date.
