WILLIAM C. STRACKBEIN

William Charles “Bill” Strackbein, age 55, of Overton, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at the Grand Island Regional Medical Center, Grand Island, Nebraska surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on May 16th, 1969, in Kansas and then was adopted by Gerald C and Ruth (Urban) Strackbein. He is the Oldest of 3 children.

Bill was blessed with a son and a daughter.

He then married Teresa Park of Holdrege, Nebraska on July 4th, 2015, in Arapahoe, Nebraska.

He then gained a stepdaughter and a stepson.

He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and family man. Many hours were spent with his family camping, boating and fishing. Bill worked at Tyson, in Lexington, Nebraska for 13 years.

He is preceded in death by his father Gerald Strackbein, father-in-law Charles Pruitt, grandchildren Serenity and Ryker Park, and many aunts and uncles.

He is survived by his wife Teresa Strackbein, Mother Ruth Strackbein, sister Rosie and Rick Herder, brother John Strackbein, children Joe Burkey, Taneesha Strackbein, stepchildren Melissa Park, Dustin and Kelli Park, grandchildren Ellena Lailah Nathalie and Rodney Burkey, and many other family members.

Viewing and visitation will be Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 6 PM till 8 PM at Garey Funeral Chapel, 652 Main St., Arapahoe, Nebraska. Funeral services will be Friday, February 7, 2025, at 11 AM at Grace Lutheran Church, in Lexington, Nebraska with Pastor Cathy Gundell, officiating. Interment will be Friday, February 7, 2025, at 2 PM at Arapahoe Cemetery, Arapahoe, Nebraska.
