Turkey Days 2024.

CURTIS - On Friday, June 7th, Curtis held their annual Community Banquet. The late Kelly Kotschwar was recognized with the Posthumous Award, and Kevin Brown won the Citizen of the Year Award.

The Cambridge Public School Board held a meeting last Monday, June 10th in the school’s auditorium at 7 PM. The main topics discussed were the Wilkins Architecture Design Planning facilities assessment and the first reading of a potential school cell phone policy.

Get out your lederhosen and warm up your stein holding arms for the 45th annual Wurst Tag in Eustis. This year’s annual German heritage celebration is slated for June 7 – 9, 2024.

Oxford’s 2024 Turkey Days begins on Thursday, June 6 with a pool tournament, The Longbranch Cup, at 7 pm at The Longbranch. The tournament starts off the 67th celebration.

Turkeys were once big business in the little town of Oxford, Nebraska. Hundreds of thousands of them; perhaps millions were raised and shipped out of little Oxford, Nebraska.

Tuesday morning proved to be another wet morning. This is almost like Oregon weather.

The Auxiliary in Eustis had some extra help on poppy day this year. Grayson Gerken, Kellen Newcomb, and Amelia Gerken helped gather donations.

The Holbrook Class of 1979 met Friday night, May 24th at Kearney at Kristi (Hockemeier) Jochum’s house for a gathering, and attended the all school class reunion on Saturday evening, May 25th in Holbrook. Back row (l-r) Mike Chambers, Lonnie Driskill.

HASTINGS, Nebraska (May 30, 2024) – Hastings College has announced the Dean’s List for its spring 2024 semester. For the semester, 351 students from 20 states and 11 countries were named to the Dean’s List.
