These students have proven they are focused on their education, dedicated to quality, and committed to hard work. They understand that their education is a valuable asset that will be there for the rest of their lives.

RPAC Rundown Athletes of the Week

RPAC Rundown Athletes of the Week for December 11th -17th were Ann Bose, Southern Valley. She had 26 points in the EAgles loss to Gothenburg. In their win over Ravenna, Bose posted 19 points and 0 rebounds and in the EAgles win over Loomis, she tallied 19 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and seven steals.

K-12 students and families invited to STEM Night

Eustis-Farnam STEM Night for families is January 22, 2024 from 5-7 pm in the west building. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. There will be 7-12th grade Science Fair projects on display, 5th grade science demonstrations, and meteorologist presentation with the National Weather Service.

UNK announces Dean’sList for 2023 fall semester

KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney announced students who earned a place on the dean’s list for the fall 2023 semester. Students who are on the dean’s list must have completed 12 credit hours or more of classes with a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale. Students earn a 4.0 for an “A,” 3.0 for a “B” and 2.0 for a “C.”

(Grand Island, Neb.) – Central Community College honored 372 graduate candidates during its 2023 winter commencement Friday, Dec. 15, at CCC-Columbus.

CSC announces students on Dean’s List

Chadron State College has announced the 356 names on the Dean’s List. A cumulative grade point average of at leat 3.5 is required for the academic honor. To qualify for the honor, students must be enrolled in 12 credit hours of coursework, be seeking their first bachelor’s degree, and have no incomplete grades during the semester. Cities and states listed are the home address provided by the students.

Money Tree Contest winner

This year’s winner of the Waypoint Bank money tree contest is Greg Howerter with a guess of $298.23 which was the exact amount hanging on the tree. Greg is a two-time winner as he had the best guess back in 2000 also. This is the 35th year of having the money tree in our lobby. Thanks to everyone who stopped in to make a guess. Arapahoe Council discusses theater project

The Arapahoe City Council met on Monday, December 18 at 7:30 pm. The council heard from Bobbi Pettit of 5 Rule. The council approved two invoices from 5 Rule for construction management and grant administration. Pettit said these will be submitted to the state to recover 75% of that cost.
