100 Years Ago December 21, 1922 The Oxford Gun Club has leased a plot of ground from Gus Schroeder just west of the river bridge where their contests will be held. A new automatic trap has been received and their first shoot will be held Friday.

A dangerous week on the roads

EDISON - Furnas County Sheriff Doug Brown said it had beena hectic and dangerous week on local roadways. Last week, a pickup truck and semi-truck and trailer collided at the Deerfield corner or about three miles west of Beaver City on the Highway 89 and Highway 283 junction.
