No 4th of July Fireworks this year for Arapahoe

Body
Dear friends and neighbors, It is with great regret that we announce that we are unable to put on a community 4th of July fireworks show this year in Arapahoe. With the extreme fire danger that persists, with the fear of additional fires that haunts our community and with a shortage of fireworks of the quality we like to use, it is the prudent and proper thing to do to postpone our show to next year (2023). We hope to put on an even better and bigger show next year! Thank you for your understanding and patience. Kevin Urbom and the Fireworks Team.

Oxford Alumni 2022

Body
The Oxford Alumni Association held their all school banquet on Saturday, May 28 with about 140 people attending. Honored classes were those that graduated with years ending in a two. Part of the business taken care of during the meeting portion of the evening was a restructuring of the leadership. The leadership was voted to now be a committee made up of 5 - 8 people. Cindi Barto and Rob Lewis will stay on one more year as president and treasurer to get the new committee going. Barto also went through the finances in detail. The purchase of six tables for the Golden Generation/ Hilltop Event Center was also approved. The Event Center was open most of the day for alumni to gather. There was also a coffee gathering that afternoon.
