CURTIS, Neb. – Academic honors for 55 Aggie students at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture were announced Thursday.

The Gosper County Senior Center is in full swing and has coffee drinkers in at 8:30, pool-players in the midmorning, exercise machines that are in motion, a puzzle on the table, domino game to get started after lunch and of course great noon dinners for you to enjoy with friendly neighbors. The staff will continue to make your visit here, either while participating in the activities or eating our noon meal, as positive and enjoyable as can be. Thanks for your support.

Casie Helms, Arapahoe-Holbrook Public School Backpack Program Director, accepts a $986.36 donation on January 6, 2022, from Jared Shafer and Laura Frink of MNB Insurance Services, Inc., to go towards the school’s Backpack Program. Children signed up for the Backpack Program are provided with nutritious and easy-to-prepare food and snacks when other resources may not be available, such as weekends and school vacations. Mark Stagemeyer of MNB Insurance is not pictured. MNB Insurance employees donate to their chosen organization every year and MNB Insurance Services, Inc. matches their donation.

The Village of Oxford discussed properties they are looking at title reports on during their meeting on Monday, January 17. Clerk Becky Calderone had a list prepared with the properties the Village has been working on. Two of the properties in question have paternity suit and child support liens against them. The board will wait to see if the liens can be removed, but they would not want to accept a deed on these properties now.
