The Cambridge City Council met in regular session on Monday, January 3, 2022. Council Member Mike Harris was absent. Council approved the Consent agenda items, including meeting minutes for December 20, 2021, and December 22, 2021 meetings.

The Southwest National Honor Society delivered gifts to 48 kids and 15 food baskets this Christmas season. We want to thank everyone who 1) takes stars and buys gifts/food baskets and 2) those who donate monetarily - your donations this year helped us buy a winter coat for every child!

Sorry for not getting a column in for the last several weeks. Getting ready for company, and having company got in the way of finding time to sit down and get it done. And with end of the year bookwork, recovering from company, etc. I didn’t have time to make calls for Christmas and New Year’s news.

McCook, Nebraska—Adults who have experienced a recent loss of a loved one are invited to join Community Hospital’s grief support group, which begins February 1. The support group meets for eight weeks on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
