Many Americans and businesses fly the American flag at their homes and places of work but what do you do with your flag when it becomes old and tattered and you are ready for a new one? Don’t just throw it in the trash, that’s considered to be disrespectful. A flag disposal box has been donated to the City of Cambridge and is located at the Community Building, in the City Office. Sgt. Joseph Methe, as an Eagle Scout built several boxes and gave one to us. He is currently in the National Guard as a Medic, HHT1-134.

BARTLEY - Southwest elementary students wave flags upon entry to the school’s annual Veteran’s Day program last Thursday. Veterans were honored throughout the region on Veterans Day with programs hosted by local schools and other organizations. More photos can be found inside.

ARAPAHOE - Over 150 people showed up Tuesday evening, November 9, to show their support for keeping the nursing home and assisted living facilities in Arapahoe open. Todd Eichenburger, a representative from the Arapahoe Area Investment Fund, shared the property had not yet been listed but he had been made aware of a noncompete clause.
