KEARNEY — Planning is underway for spring commencement ceremonies at the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Undergraduate exercises will occur as planned at 10 a.m. Friday, May 7, with a new date for the graduate exercises at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 8.

March 22, 2021 We’ve been needing moisture for so long and now, we’re ALMOST tempted to wish for a bit more sunshine. As of this writing on Monday night, I’ve dumped 1.35” out of my rain gauge that fell Sunday night and all day Monday.

Using creativity, children gain sensory perception, verbal skills, and hand-eye coordination. Creativity provides opportunities for experimenting, imagination, freedom of expression, and learning how to cope with feelings. Promoting creative thinking can elevate children to become the adults who make a difference in our world with creative problem-solving skills.

Weather Permitting, a crack seal project will begin March 29 on US-6, according to the Nebraska Department of Traansportation. Crack sealing is a process of cleaning and filling joints and cracks in th surface with sealant to prevent entry of moisture and debris.
