BEAVER CITY — When Dalton Dempcy of Beaver City enlisted in the Air Force in 2018, becoming part of the United States Space Force (USSF) was not even on the radar. Given the fact that the U.S. had not established a new Armed Service since 1947—when the U.S. Air Force became its own branch of the military—Dempcy had no way of knowing that in a few short years he would be on the ground floor of an entirely new venture.
