Are your children up to date on their vaccines? Due to the pandemic over this past year many children have fallen behind on the vaccinations they need. Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department (SWNPHD) will be offering Vaccines for Children at public clinics in April Anyone two months and older are invited to get their vaccinations. Walk-ins are welcome. Masking will be required for anyone aged 2 years and older.

LINCOLN, NEB. – Nebraska Farm Bureau is pushing the Biden administration for answers regarding how the president will implement a Jan. 27, 2021 executive order setting a goal of conserving at least 30 percent of lands and waters by 2030 (30x30). The 30x30 order contained few details, in turn raising numerous questions and concerns from farmers, ranchers, and other landowners. Nebraska Farm Bureau President Mark McHargue detailed Farm Bureau member concerns and urged the administration to provide clarity in an April 5 letter to the president.

Furnas County to continue meetings on county roads

The Furnas County Board of Commissioners held the first of three district meetings on county road maintenance in Arapahoe last February before the meetings in the other two districts were cancelled due to the emergence of the coronavirus.

ELWOOD - On a typical cool and breezy day for early track season, the Arapahoe, Hi-Line and Southwest track and field teams competed at the Hi-Line Invite in Elwood Tuesday. In the boys’ competition, Hi-Line finished fourth, followed by Southwest in fifth and Arapahoe in seventh.
