The Cambridge Lions inducted 5 new members into their club and held a welcome ceremony with the District Governor on March 8. New members are (left to right) JeffJackson, Robert Guess, Vallie Guess, Miguel Arambula, and Levi Watson shown with District Governor John Rundel. Lions is an international organization with over 1.2 million members around the globe supporting their local communities and global causes. SV Board moves to fill vacancy

The Southern Valley Board of Education met on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 7:30 pm. All board member and administration were present.The board approved the consent agenda. This includes publication verification, agenda items, approval of prior minutes, and financial reports.

Dancing Gala March 20

The Golden Generation Center is holding an Event Gala Fundraiser event on March 20. Doors are set to open at 6:3o pm. A Prime Rib dinner will be served at 7:30p.m.. There will be seven local dancing groups performing for pride and a trophy during dining. Complete Weddings and Events will be providing music entertainment after the show for open floor dancing to the public. The doors will reopen to the public at 9 p.m. for those interested in dancing, but not dining. A silent auction will be on the west side of the Hilltop room, for guests to bid big and help the Golden Generation center fund the much needed roof repairs. Tickets for the dinner and show are 25.0o each and can be purchased at the center or with any board member. You can call (402)831-0954 or (308)824-3878 for ticket information. Tickets will not be available at the door for this event. The Long Branch Bar will be serving drinks independently throughout the night, for a fun evening. If you would like to follow along with sponsorship announcements and find out who in the area will be dancing, please follow the Golden Generation Center on their facebook page. Dancers and sponsors will be announced daily. Please come out, support the Senior Center and have a good time with us “Dancing Through the Generations”.
