Cambridge native Sharla Long was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) when she was 18 years old. Throughout the years, doctors also diagnosed her with Polycystic Liver Disease (PLD). “This wasn’t a huge surprise to me because it runs in my family. Not only did my father and sister have it, but my daughters do as well,” said Sharla.

Lt. Governor visits Arapahoe

Lt. Govenor Mike Foley and Ashley Rice-Gerlach from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) were in Arapahoe on Monday, February 8 to tour the progress of the library expansion. Last April the library received a grant from DED in the amount of $372,172 to help with the renovation costs. While construction was delayed some due to issues getting materials, completion of the project is still expected later this spring.
