It’s February! Already! Where did January go? When I wrote last week’s column, we had received a nice snow, about 5-6 inches. The next day brought another 2 to 3 inches which also stayed where it fell.

Movie theaters certainly haven’t been immune from the effects of a pandemic, but local theaters are hopeful that brighter days are soon ahead, even if they’re not quite ready to resume operations. Kathy Fox-Gibb is confident that Oxford’s Granada Theater will reopen in the coming months.

After University of Nebraska-Lincoln journalism student and 2019 Cambridge graduate Jenna Ebbers heard about the Nebraska Legislature’s Page Program from her mother, her interest was piqued.

Students from each of 15 school across the Republican Plains Activities Conference were recognized for their achievements in Art. Based on judging down by the schools’ art teachers, each school was awarded a medal winner for the top piece from their district.

Those who pass the Ag Valley Grain Handling facility in Bartley are seeing the old wooden elevator come down. McCook Police who had been looking for the girl since she was reported missing discovered the body of 14-year old Kailee Nichole Clapp of McCook northwest of Bartley late Friday evening.
