A graveside service for Beverly A. Stafford was held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Nebraska, with Mr. Neal McInturf officiating.

Beverly Ann Stafford, 76 years of age, of Thornton, Colorado, formerly of Oxford, Nebraska, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Bonaventure of Thornton. Beverly was born in Holdrege, Nebraska, on July 5, 1948, the 2nd of 9 children, born to Rolland and Bernice (Broeker) McQuiston. She graduated from Oxford Public School with the class of 1966. On Halloween 1967, Beverly married her high school sweetheart, Don. In 1970, while they were stationed at Rhein Main Air Force Base near Frankfurt, Germany, their first son, Nicholas, was born. They returned to the states in 1971 and settled in Colorado. In 1976, their second son, Joel, was born.

She dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home. Her hands were always busy. Whether that be creating art, tending to babies, or painting fairies on bedroom walls. Her nurturing nature could be extended to all who knew her. Beverly’s love of Jesus and pride in her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren could be felt by all who talked to her. She was always willing to listen and offer unwavering support and guidance… and an opinion on everything. ;) She had the warmest heart and kindest soul. Unless you happened to be caught in a game of “Sorry” with her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland and Bernice; her husband, Donald Stafford; sister, Pauline Harper; two brothers-in-law: Warren Harper; Mike Salyers; niece, Wendy (Salyers) Pollard; and nephew, Daniel Schultz.

Beverly leaves behind two sons: Nick and his wife, Linda of Inkom, ID; and Joe and his wife, Deb of Westminster, CO; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Salyers of Harvard, NE; brother, Michael McQuiston of Orleans, NE; sister, Delores [Don] Scheumann of Carthage, IN; brother, David [Kathy] McQuiston of Oxford, NE; sister, Kaye [Ron] Blincow of Ashland, NE; sister, Debra Mostek of Omaha NE; and brother, Mark McQuiston of Alma, NE; and many other relatives and friends.

There will be no viewing or visitation. The family is honoring Beverly’s wish for a closed casket.

Memorials in Beverly’s honor are suggested to the family for a later designation.
