LOLA J. DEBBAN

Lola June Debban, age 86, of Elwood, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at the Elwood Care Center in Elwood, Nebraska. She was born on December 7, 1935 at Holbrook, Nebraska to Ernest & Marie (Noltensmeier) Boyd.

She graduated high school from Arapahoe High School with the Class of 1953. She married Eugene Stagemeyer in 1955 and to this union 2 children were born: Brenda and Michael. They later divorced. In 1979, she married Simon Debban. She worked for 20 years as a nurse at Sutherland Hospital in Sutherland, Nebraska. She retired from nursing in 1972. Her husband Simon passed away on September 29, 2001. She made her home in Elwood. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Our Redeemer Lutheran Church of Elwood. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, canning, and going to the Gosper County Senior Center.

She is survived by son-in-law: William Perry of Elwood, Nebraska, stepgranddaughter Samantha (Jason) Hopkinson of North Platte, Nebraska, brother-in-law Harold (Eileen) Debban of Kearney, Nebraska, sister-in-law Rose Mary Debban of Elwood, Nebraska.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Simon Debban, son Michael Stagemeyer, daughter Brenda Perry, brother Don Boyd, sister Opah Dwineu

No viewing or visitation as cremation was chosen. Memorial services were held Monday, March 7 ^th , 2022 at 10:30 AM at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Elwood, Nebraska with Rev. Aaron Witt, officiating. Inurnment was held immediately after service at Elwood Cemetery, Elwood, Nebraska. Elwood Funeral Home of Elwood, Nebraska is in charge of arrangements.
