MICHAEL D. ROSS

Michael “Mike” D. Ross age 75 of Bartley passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on November 23, 2021. He was born in McCook, NE on October 29, 1946, to Gerald “Barney" and Weta Mae (Danner) Ross. Mike attended school in Cambridge. He joined the NE National Guard.

On June 28, 1968, He was united in marriage to Judy Vontz. To this union two sons were born: Brad and Brent.

Mike coached his son’s little league baseball teams. Mike was an avid supporter of his sons and grandchildren's sporting activities. He was a member active of the Masonic Lodge #228 AF and AM of Bartley. Mike loved to fish, hunt deer, coyotes, and pheasants. He enjoyed playing town team softball. He helped in the pits with Kenny Nelson's hobby stock car for a while. Mike was employed by the Frenchman Irrigation District for over 43 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Barney and Weta; son: Brad; grandparents: Guy and Rosella Ross.

Mike is survived by his wife: Judy of Bartley; son: Brent of Pontotoc, MS; grandchildren: Aubri Ross and Paxton Ross of Cambridge; Brick Ross and Belle Ross of Pontotoc, MS brother: Tom (Joan) Ross of Pryor Lake, MN and many nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Mike's wishes, Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 10:30 AM at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge. Inurnment will be in the Fairview Cemetery of Cambridge. Memorials may be left in Mikes' name. Masonic Committal will be held by the Bartley Masonic Lodge #228 AF& AM.
