A Memorial Service for Ralph Eldon Knepper was held on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Holdrege, NE with Rev. Kenton Birtell officiating with Military Honors provided by the United States Army Funeral Honors Team. Inurnment was held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Westlawn Cemetery in Grand Island, NE.

A Memorial Service and Inurnment for Charleen M. Bennett was held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Edison Christian Church in Edison, Nebraska with Pastor Kirk Einspahr officiating. A private inurnment of Charleen, Charles and Kathleen will be held prior to the service at the Edison Cemetery in Edison, Nebraska.

A Funeral Service for Jean Lubeck was held on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Stamford, Nebraska with Pastor Thalia Woodward officiating. Interment will follow at the Stamford Cemetery at Stamford.

A Celebration of Life Gathering for Donald K. “Don” Paulson who passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020 was held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Golden Generation Center at 600 Central Street, Oxford, NE 68967. A memorial has been established in Don’s honor and kindly suggested to the Oxford Food Pantry, Golden Generation Center, or donate blood at your local blood drive.

Larry Lynn Kasson of Riverton, Wyoming passed from this life on August 2, 2021. He was a Veteran of the VietNam War and formerly of Wilsonville, Nebraska. More information including memorial services will be printed in the future."

Jean Witte age 91 of Cambridge passed away at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital on Sunday August 9, 2021. Visitation for Jean was held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 7:00 PM with family present to greet friends.

Verna Raye Horton, age 81, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on August 4, 2021 at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was a born on the farm near Arapahoe to Eli and Ethel Elizabeth (Scott) Brown. She also had a twin sister born that day, Vera Faye Brown. Verna attended grade school in a one room school house. She then attended high school at Arapahoe High School graduating with the class of 1957. She married Clifford Houser on November 24, 1957 and they would later divorce, but to this union were born 7 children. Cliff (J.R.), Michael Dean (Mike), Marjorie Anne, Douglas Allen, Angie Elizabeth, Terry Andrew. While raising her family, she would often be found outside helping with the farm and ranch. When her children were grown enough to help they would help with the day to day chores.

Wilma Ina Haussermann, age 94, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2021, after being in Phelps Memorial Hospital, Holdrege, Nebraska from congestive heart failure and her body just wore out. Wilma was born near Alma, Nebraska on a farm on June 8, 1927, as the third of thirteen children of Friend Valentine (Mike) and Augusta Louise Rebman Hadley.

Lindsay Renee Collins, age 42, of Lakewood, Colorado passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on July 14, 2021 in Denver, Colorado. Lindsay was born on August 5 , 1978 in Cambridge, Nebraska to Doug and Judy (Steele) Collins. She began her education in Edison, Nebraska with her mother as her kindergarten teacher. Lindsay was confirmed on May 3, 1992 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arapahoe. In May of 1996 she graduated from Arapahoe High School and in the fall started college at Midland Lutheran College in Fremont, Nebraska. Lindsay earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in May 2000 and moved to Fort Collins, Colorado to teach. In 2002 she moved to Denver, Colorado to work at Children’s Hospital. She then worked at Jefferson Hills Adolescent Treatment Center, in Lakewood, Colorado as Case Manager for at risk youth for the next seven years. With her PAH diagnosis, she needed to find a less physically demanding job. Kids Smart was the answer. As Program Director of Children in before and after school learning activities, she found a job she loved. Lindsay worked with her kids for the next ten years until her health forced her to stop in May.

A Funeral Service for Johnny C. Nelson will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Murray Jones officiating. Interment will follow at the Moses Hill Cemetery, rural Loomis, Nebraska.
