James (Jim) Robert Wilkinson, lifetime resident of Curtis, Nebraska, passed away suddenly on September 27, 2024, at the age of 70. Jim was born January 29, 1954, in Omaha, Nebraska, and was the beloved son of Donald Penner Wilkinson and Jeanne (Walrath) Wilkinson.

Paul E. Newberry was born at the St Catherine Hospital in McCook, Nebraska on March 30, 1947 to Doran and Nellie (Jussel) Newberry.

Larry Allen Bruening, 84 of Hendley, Nebraska, passed away on September 17, 2024, of natural causes. Born on November 14, 1939, in Lexington, NE, to Bernard and Francis Bruening, Larry was a Navy veteran and dedicated machinist for over 57 years, primarily at CA Norgren.

Gary Ray Buehner, 69, passed away at his home in Cozad, Nebraska on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Gary was born on May 10, 1955 in Gothenburg, Nebraska to Raymond and Norma (Hueftle) Buehner. He grew up on his family farm, seven miles west of Eustis, Nebraska. He was baptized and confirmed at the United Methodist Church in Eustis. Gary graduated from Eustis Public School in 1973.

Myron Farrell Dawson, age 86, of Elwood, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the Elwood Care Center, Elwood, Nebraska. He was born on May 24, 1938, to Farrell and Bernice (Hays) Dawson at a house northwest of Oxford, Nebraska.

Pamela “Pam” Sue Glodowski, a loving mother, wife, and dedicated guidance counselor passed away in Gothenburg Hospital on September 15, 2024. Born on July 15, 1960 in Gothenburg, Nebraska, Pam lived her life through the love of family and friends.

Gene J. Roether, born on September 11, 1938, in Dawson County, Nebraska, departed this life on September 10, 2024, in Cozad, Nebraska, just one day shy of his 86th birthday. Gene was a cherished member of the community, known for dedication, kindness, passion for his work and family.

Steve Highland, beloved son, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 27, 2024, at the age of 57. Born on September 26, 1966, in Cambridge, NE, Steve was the cherished son of Elain Karen Highland and Raymond Glen Highland.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jerome Witte will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Orleans, Nebraska with Father Maurice Current officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Orleans, Nebraska with Military Honors provided by the the Orleans Harold Morin Post #184 in conjunction with the United States Army Funeral Honors Team.
