WILCOX - With a stingy defense, the Arapahoe girls basketball team traveled to Wilcox-Hildreth and escaped with a 37-32 win Thursday night.

The Warriors controlled the first half, but couldn’t break free from the Falcons as they held the advantage in a low-scoring half, 17-9.

The Falcons put together a third-quarter surge to almost wipe out the deficit, pulling within 25-24 through three, but Arapahoe dropped the brakes on the rally and held Wilcox-Hildreth to eight points over the final eight minutes, salting the game away late by five.

Emerson Swanson scored 12 to lead the Warriors while Hope Koller added nine and Berkley Warner scored seven. Koller had seven rebounds and Warner swiped six steals. Swanson dealt four assists and had four steals. Sabrina Jacobsen hit the boards with six rebounds and Tracy Roskop had three assists.
