Village of Bartley Joins nebraska League of municipalities Health insurance Group

BARTLEY – During the meeting on Monday, June 13, the village council took action to join the Nebraska League of Municipalities health insurance group for village employees. Under the new arrangement, the Village of Bartley will save $5,000 annually and provide the same Blue Cross/Blue Shield coverage for their two employees that they currently have.

In other business, Josh and Darcy Keenportz, addressed the council on behalf of the Bartley Young Guns group. The couple asked if the village would consider purchasing the materials for a 6’ chain link fence to be placed around the sand volleyball court. The Young Guns group members would volunteer their time to construct thefence. No action was taken but the council members asked the couple to get bids for the materials.

Utility Superintendent Jim Foster is checking with two different companies on the prices for an underground sewer line.

The next regular Village Board Meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.
