PRAIRIE PINES

Opal Coakley’s son, Roger, visited her for a week. They visited in Franklin, Naponee and Oxford at Alumni Banquets over the Memorial Day weekend. In Oxford, they ate at the old school house, which is now a senior center, museum and meeting hall. Many memorable times.

SUNSHINE VILLAGE

Ilene Collins attended the Memorial for Bob Collins on Monday and attended the carry-in dinner at the Methodist Church. The June pot luck dinner was on Monday, June 7th with hostesses Joyce Utterback and Ruth Beck with Patriotic decorations.

HOLBROOK NEWS

Visitors of Jim and Ida Mae McBride a few days before Memorial Day were her aunt and cousin Charlene Adden and Tracy Adden of Lincoln. They had lunch out on Wednesday at a local restaurant. They were here especially to decorate graves for Memorial Day.

2021 Wheat Tours June 14 and 15th

Three wheat variety plots will be the focus of field days coming for this area. K-State Research and Extension, Twin Creeks District and Kansas Wheat Alliance along with Larry and Brian Miller of Dresden and Roger May and Family of Oberlin and Gayle & Denton Haag will host several wheat tours.

GOSPER COUNTY SENIOR CENTER

We are open to in-house meals and as long as our Gosper County numbers stay down we can remain open. We are following the guidelines that WCNAAA has suggested for our Center. Masks are optional. We will continue to do Home Delivery meals if you are homebound; Pick-up meals on need base only.
