Joel Clarence Petersen, passed away on September 12, 2021, at the Fairmont Nursing Home in Fairmont, Nebraska at the age of 61. Joel was born on September 13, 1959, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Jerry and Anastasia (Minnick) Petersen. Joel was born with Down Syndrome and during this time, Jerry and Annie were proud to raise him themselves in their loving home. In January of 1960, the family moved to a farm in Cambridge, Nebraska where Joel spent his childhood.

Janice Kaye (Schleicher) Hunt , 85 of Denver, CO died September 7, 2021 at Harvard Square Assisted Living Facility after a long illness, with her daughters Lenee’ Erickson and Ladonna Hunt-Hiatt by her side.

Margaret V. “Maggie” Thulin, 88 years of age, of Oxford, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Society – Colonial Villa in Alma, Nebraska.

Sherry Lee Chapman Sindt, 60, of Glasgow, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021 at The Medical Center of Bowling Green. She was born February 28, 1961 in Oxford, Nebraska to the late Gary Chapman and Norma Lee Clason Chapman, who survives.

A Funeral Service for Richard D. Johnson will be held on Thursday, September 23, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Holdrege, Nebraska with Reverend Dr. Mark Crist and Pastor Troy Vandament officiating. Interment will follow at the Prairie Home Cemetery, at Holdrege.

Rollie Carter, age 84, of Aurora, NE passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at his home following a yearlong battle with metastatic lung cancer. Funeral Services were held at 10:30 a.m.

Doris Irene Howey, age 94, of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021 at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe, Nebraska. She was born on February 23, 1927 in Harlan County, Nebraska to Roy and Loretta (Hoppe) Snyder.

Robert “Bob” Dale Wood, 87 of Fort Shaw, passed away unexpectedly September 4, 2021 at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Gorder-Jensen Funeral Home and per Bob’s wishes there will be no services at this time.
