A Funeral Service for Tim Glendening was held on Monday, January 3, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska with Pastor Keith Menter officiating. Following the funeral, the family will honor his wish for cremation. Military Honors will be provided by the Navy Funeral Honors Team.

Macy Shane Thomas, age 53, living in Minden, Nebraska previously of Beaver City and Stamford, Nebraska passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in Gibbon, Nebraska. He was born at Norton, Kansas to Melvin Samuel and Merrilee Kay (Lockwood) Thomas on August 5, 1968.

A Graveside Service for Larry D. Reusink will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Fort McPherson National Cemetery at Maxwell, Nebraska, with Pastor Daren Popple officiating, with Military Honors provided by the Army National Guard Funeral Honors Team.

Wayne Lee Carpenter age 82, of North Platte, NE passed away at the Sutherland Care Center in Sutherland, NE on December 19, 2021. He was born in rural Red Willow County near Indianola on the family farm on May 18, 1939, to Thomas and Frances (Lohr) Carpenter. He attended Bartley Public Schools graduating in 1957.

Tim Glendening, 71 years of age, of Lindsborg, Kansas, formerly of rural Smithfield, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2021, at his daughter’s home in Lindsborg. Funeral Services are pending with the Nelson-Bauer Funeral Home in Holdrege, Nebraska.

Stuart J. Osborn, 70 years of age, of Bertrand, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021, at his home in Bertrand.

A Funeral Service for Kent A. Brown was held on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Oxford, Nebraska with Pastor Albert Longe officiating. Following the funeral service, the family honored Kent’s wish for cremation and a private inurnment will be held at a later date.

Robert “Bob” Russell Tilson of Omaha, NE, passed away on December 16, 2021 at his home. He was born in Elwood, NE, on February 21, 1943 to Russell and Jane Tilson.

Doris Irene (Reigle) Uphoff, age 81, of Elwood, Nebraska, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at her home. She was born August 7, 1940, to Ray and Myrtle (Shefneer) Reigle in Cherry County, Nebraska.

Steven “Pete” Hamel, age 63 of Arapahoe, Nebraska passed away o Wednesday December 8 2021, at the Cambridge Hospital. He was born on August 20, 1958, to Hollis and Darlene (Elston) Hamel at Cambridge, Nebraska. Pete grew up on the family farm in the rural Cambridge area and attended Cambridge Public Schools where he graduated with the class of 1977. After graduating Pete attended Tech School in Hastings, NE and graduated with a degree in welding. While growing up, Pete, his brothers and sister rode, trained and showe horses throughout Southwest and Central Nebraska in 4-H, open and registered shows where he won many trophies and ribbons. The trip to the Nebraska State Fair was always a goal with the 4-H horses to compete in Lincoln and later Grand Island. Pete and his brother, Kurt, always teamed up on whatever project they were working on which included a hotrod minibike. Later Pete and Kurt fed feeder hogs that their dad would buy at the Sale Barn which they sold to earn their money, along with riding and training horses for numerous people in the area.
