Teeing up Winning Policy

Body
January 17, 2025 Recent discussions I have had with President Trump and my congressional colleagues highlight both the signifi cant challenges and the opportunity we will soon have to get our country back on the right track. After four years of inflationary spending under the Biden-Harris administration, voters have demanded a change in leadership and policy. The tragic consequences of open border policies have grown more severe during the last four years, and anti-growth Biden-Harris policies have squelched American energy production.

Beat the winter blues

Body
Sunlight time is on the up, but that doesn’t mean the winter blues have disappeared just yet. It is no surprise light affects our moods, helping make a person feel calm and focused. Sunlight triggers our brain to release serotonin, which can be referred to as our “happiness hormone.”

Holding criminal illegal aliens accountable

Body
The federal government has a fundamental responsibility to secure our borders. President Biden utterly failed to do that. Criminal illegal aliens have been allowed to enter and roam our country. Americans like Laken Riley died as a result. This week, I voted to advance legislation I co-lead to hold criminal illegal aliens accountable. I’m going to keep fighting until we secure our border.

Are you a farmer or rancher over 18? It’s time for an estate plan

Body
Often, the risk of failure for a farm or ranch caused by the death or disability of a young person is much greater than the loss of an older member of the operation. The loss of a young person is usually unexpected. Young people are often not as financially stable, have young families, and provide the bulk of manual labor. Estate planning is something anyone over the age of 18 should do, regardless of how little or how much they have in assets.
