Oxford Board changes dog ordinance

The Village of Oxford Board of Trustees met on Monday, October 5 at 7 pm at the Village Office. Absent from the meeting was trustee Mike Minarik. All other trustees were present. Also present at the meeting was Clerk/treasurer Becky Calderone and public works director Duane Hoffman. The meeting was called to order by board Chairman Neal McInturf.

Thru a grant from the Nebraska dept of Environment and Energy, a new dual electric car charging station has been installed at the Cobblestone Inn & Suites of Cambridge. The unit came from a company in California and is a Chargepoint level 2 charger.

Cambridge Council hears discussion on development at Harvest Meadows

The Cambridge City Council opened the October 5, 2020 meeting with a public hearing on the Conditional Use Permit submitted by Alan Koerperich for the Harvest Meadows addition. Mayor David Gunderson said the Public Hearing must be held 14 days after the original hearing date, and the City Council Meeting was only 12 days out, so a second Public Hearing would be held at the October 19, 2020 Regular City Council Meeting. Because citizens were present at the meeting, Mayor Gunderson said they could make their comments.

Viola June Kelley, 87, a longtime resident of Danbury, Nebraska, passed away early Sunday morning, October 4, 2020, at Community Hospital in McCook, Nebraska. Viola was born on June 22, 1933, in Ravenna, Nebraska, to George and Iva (Rosier) Zeller.
