SUMNER - The Hi-Line boys basketball team battled through a trio of games last week, but came up short in each as it saw its record fall to 0-7 this young season. The Bulls struggled in the middle quarters of a 64-43 loss to Bertrand on Tuesday, then were overwhelmed early in a first round matchup at the Sumner-EddyvilleMiller Tournament Friday against the Mustangs.

Cambridge boys fall to Cozad, Loomis

CAMBRIDGE - Second-half explosions have proven costly for the Cambridge boys basketball team last week as the Trojans saw both Cozad and Loomis blow open competitive games that resulted in losses. Against Cozad, the Trojans battled throughout the first two quarters, hustling for rebounds and knocking down timely shots.

SV girls fall to Ravenna, Superior

Southern Valley girls basketball take two hard losses this week in their games versus Ravenna and Superior. On Thursday evening, the Eagles lost to the Ravenna Bluejays 36-54. SV had balanced scoring with Ann Bose posting 12, Kynlee Marquez with 8, Krista Best adding 7, Jenna Hunt scoring 6, and Jessica Lambert with 3.

The Arapahoe Elementary students presented their Christmas concert and play “A Pirate Christmas” last Thursday, December loth at 10:00 a.m. They live streamed the concert and recorded it for those parents, friends and grandparents not able to watch it live. The fifth grade band played Jingle Bells and Gingerbread Men on Parade. The sixth grade band played Christmas Fun and Christmas in the Kitchen.
