Paint Striping Across District 7

Weather permitting, paint striping will begin May 24, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Vogel Traffic Services, of Orange City, IA has the $791,197 contract.

We are open to in-house meals and as long as our Gosper County numbers stay down we can remain open. We are following the guidelines that WCNAAA has suggested for our Center. Masks are optional. We will continue to do Home Delivery meals if you are homebound. We will do Pick-up on need base only through the end of May. UNK Announces Dean’s List for 2021 Spring Semester

KEARNEY – The University of Nebraska at Kearney announced students who earned a place on the dean’s list for the spring 2021 semester. Students who are on the dean’s list must have completed 12 credit hours or more of classes with a 3.5 grade-point average or better on a 4.0 scale.

Community Hospital Announces Full-time Orthopedic Surgeon Moving to McCook

When Richard Lawton, M.D., Ph.D. was a young boy, he liked fixing things, building bikes and spending time in the woodshop. Those types of interests lend themselves toward surgery, he says, and pointed him, in his adulthood, to a career in orthopedic surgery. It helped that his father, who recently retired, was a family practice doc, “so I got some initial exposure through watching him when I was a kid.”
