The Nebraska Grazing Lands Coalition, Nebraska Extension, and Nebraska Environmental Trust will be hosting the 2021 Traveling Road Show in November at 8 Nebraska locations in 4 days. The featured speakers will be Joshua and Tara Dukart of Seek First Ranch in western North Dakota.

Thursday, October 21: Pasta/meat sauce, lettuce salad, broccoli salad, pineapple ambrosia, garlic bread. Friday, October 22: Salmon patty, buttered potatoes, pea salad, cherry dump cake.

A great Big Thank You (and that is very insufficient) to everyone who came running with their combines, grain carts, trucks, meals, snacks, videos and anything else used to finish up my soybean harvest when they found out I was going in for a heart overhaul. I absolutely hate having everyone drop their work to come do mine but it was a huge emotional relief to have that done and to find out that so many people would not take NO for an answer. The harvest crew certainly has decreased the pressure of harvest for me and my crew.

Last week, residents were pleased to meet their new resident, newborn Athena, daughter of Jessica Yeager. Pictures were taken of our oldest resident Ilene Collins 91 and our beautiful Athena, a few days old.

George Probasco conducted the church service at First United Methodist Church on Sunday morning in the absence of the Pastor, Joel Rathbun. Watching the service on the video in Prairie Pinies parlor were Emma Crawford and her daughter Marilin, Lorrie Anderson, Nathie Ahrens and Lelia Haussler.
