Body Rodney Roy Gilliland, age 74, of Smithfield, Nebraska, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Bryan Medical Center East Campus in Lincoln, Nebraska. He fought a long battle with heart disease.

Body A Funeral Service for Clarice J. Reed will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Oxford, Nebraska, with Pastor Wes Holen officiating. Interment will be held at the Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak, Kansas at 3:00 p.m.

Body Furnas County Extension Office held their annual Inspire Academy on June 15th at the Blue-Ribbon Building in Beaver City. There were 12 kids signed up for our Desert Garden Workshop & 15 kids signed up for the String Art Workshop!

Body Oxford’s 65 Turkey Days celebration was another successful weekend taking place June 17 - 20. It was quite hot for the festivities with temperatures hovering at the 100 degree mark. That did not stop people from taking part in all there was to offer.

Body The Village of Oxford Board discussed the Northwest Village Center building during their meeting on Monday, June 20. The building houses the clinic and physical therapy as well as some other office space.

Body Kid’s Under Construction was the theme of Vacation Bible School in Oxford this last week. The community Bible School was held at Oxford’s Evangelical Free Church this year and met Monday through Thursday evening.
