Lebanon News

Body
Not the best of news for my column this week. Last Friday, I got a frantic text from our grandson, Tim Seberger. That’s a son to our daughter Cindy. He asked for prayers for his youngest, Augustine, 18 months old. He had been rushed to the hospital choking and non-responsive. After heroic efforts, his heart started beating on its own, but he remained non-responsive. Scans and tests were done, with the final one being done Sunday morning. We all prayed so hard for a miracle but it wasn’t to be. Now there will be multiple miracles as other parents are getting the lifesaving organ needed for their child’s survival. At the time of this writing, recipients have been found for his heart and liver. Funeral services are set for Friday.

Oxford approves rental agreement

Body
Oxford - The Village of Oxford Board of Trustees approved a rental agreement for $610 per month with Tri-Valley Health for the physical therapy space at Northwest Village Center. The rent includes utilities. The utilities cost the village about $1300 per month for the spaces rented in the building plus their insurance cost. Chairman Clint McQuiston said there is no way for the Village to reclaim all of that money with the rental but feels it is a service to the community. Jessica Fisher of Tri Valley said that the rent sounded reasonable. She had commented that they want to be here and part of the community. She told the board she is still working with the state for licensing and will keep them informed on her progress.
