This group consisting of 16 youth and 4 adults from the Kids For Christ youth group traveled to Loveland, CO on Thursday through Sunday to work on flood repair in that area from last September. Group included Kayla Mues, Julia McCoy, Kyra Trosper, Ashley Burke, Rylee Cross, Jolene Miller, Michael Jaeger, Tyler Schultz, Cole Burke, Baylee Miller, Ryann Lewis, Aubri Ross, Dawn Burke, Bonnie Carlock, Amelia Sayer, Monique Carlock, Cierra Clements, Brittany Williams, Alex Farmer, and Justin Miller.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska is investing $10,000 for the development of a Community Wellness program through Southwest Nebraska Public Health Department, a partner with McCook Community Foundation. The Southwest School Board approved Policy 5044 allows bus drivers to make the decision to not drop off students when they deem it to be an unsafe location.

Village of Bartley acquires maintenance vehicle

BARTLEY– During the Village of Bartley Board meeting on Tuesday, July 9, the board voted to purchase a 2019 Chevy pick-up with a flat bed and toolboxes. After looking for a vehicle for several years, the board was able to save the village thousands of dollars by purchasing the vehicle through the federal surplus program.
