MHC continues winning ways, downs WaPa in five

WAUNETA - The Maywood- Hayes Center volleyball team continues to find ways to win, even if they take the hard road to get there. The Wolves won each of their matches last week, downing Hershey in four sets before escaping Wauneta-Palisade in five on Thursday.

MCCOOK - In rolling to a 10-0 start without dropping a set, the Southwest volleyball team entered the McCook Invite without any real stressful moments this season. Sure, they’d trailed in a set a few times, but they’d never stared down anything remotely resembling defeat.

ARAPAHOE - Through four games, the Arapahoe football team has been virtually untested into a second half. The Warriors have outscored their opponents 230-33.

SOUTHERN VALLEY - In btoh team’s district opener, the Arapahoe football team ran through Southern Valley Friday ngiht, 67-6, to improve to 4-0 while the Eagles fell to 0-4. Arapahoe ran for 411 yards in the contests and had two 100-yard rushers as the Warriors scored five first-quarter touchdowns and built a 47-0 lead at halftime.
