The Cub Scouts Pack 236 picked up several bags of trash in a field owned by Steve and Diane McCoy by Dollar General in Arapahoe last week. Afterwards they went fishing and enjoyed pizza and playing in the p ark. They completed their community service project.

ARAPAHOE – Under the direction of Valerie Leising, the small choir group that is headed to New York City in May to perform at Carnegie Hall, treated the school board to a few songs from their repertoire on April 14, immediately following the regular meeting.

The Thundering Hooves drill team was fouonded in 2023 by HaiLee Linner of Beaver City. They represent the Wahoo Saddle Club PRCA Rodeo in Wahoo, NE. They are a self-supporting group who earns their money through fundraisers, sponsorships and donations. The ladies ages range from 10-60 and they have put many hours into practicing their routine. Tryouts will be held yearly in order to give new prospects the opportunity to be a part of the Thundering Hooves Drill Team.

Hosted by Arapahoe Baby Beef, the carnival was held on Saturday, April 12th at the Ella Missing Center—and it was a blast! From games and prizes to the bounce house, cake, and ice cream—it was a night full of fun for all ages.

The Farnam Senior Center will be hosting a dinner fundraiser on Sunday, April 27 with serving beginning at 1:30 a.m. They will be serving ham, cheesy potatoes, sweet & sour beans, fruit salad, rolls, and dessert.

CAMBRIDGE - After a number of special meetings and workshops on its proposed building project, the Cambridge Board of Education met Monday and received an updated bid from its general contractor, Sampson Construction.

The community of Curtis continued a long-standing tradition last Sunday as the Easter Pageant was presented at the Medicine Valley High School gym. This annual Palm Sunday event portrays the Easter story through narration, song, and 17 living picture scenes.

A Memorial Service for Tony E. Thulin will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
