The Elwood Public Schools Board of Education met on Monday, May 12th, 2025. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m.

KEARNEY – Graduate and undergraduate degrees will be conferred for 729 spring graduates at University of Nebraska at Kearney commencement exercises 10 a.m. Friday (May 16) at UNK’s Health and Sports Center. Candidates for degrees are listed below in three groups: graduates from Nebraska, graduates from across the United States and international graduates.

(Grand Island, Neb.) – Central Community College-Grand Island honored about 320 graduate candidates May 9 during its 39th annual commencement ceremony. Thirty-four of the degree candidates achieved an accumulative grade-point average of 3.75 or higher during their college career and graduated with honors.

(Hastings, Neb.) – Central Community College-Hastings honored about 390 graduate candidates May 9 during its 58th annual commencement ceremony. Forty-eight of the degree candidates achieved an accumulative grade-point average of 3.75 or higher during their college career and graduated with honors.

May 12, 2025 (McCook, Neb.) — Weather permitting, a chip seal project will begin May 15 on U.S. Highway 83 (US-83), according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation. Chip seal is an application of an asphalt binder to a roadway surface followed by an aggregate.
