Body AMES, Iowa (June 16, 2025) - Nearly 4,600 graduates received degrees from Iowa State University this spring. Graduate and undergraduate commencement ceremonies were held May 1517. Larry Buss and John “J.R.” Robinson received honorary degrees during spring ceremonies.

Body The following Veterans from Eustis were presented Quilts of Honor Saturday, June 14th. The quilts were made and presented by the Prairie Quilts Guild from the Holdrege area. Approximately 30 ladies from this group have now made and presented 756 quilts to area veterans since 2017.

Body The 40th Annual Holbrook Carp Shoot was held on June 8th. In the Adult division, 12 teams competed.

Body The 75-year Honor Class, the Class of 1950, was represented at the Arapahoe Alumni Banquet, by Donna (Breinig) McCoy and Lyle Breinig. There were 38 graduates in 1950 and eight are still living.
