It’s been nearly three weeks since Democrats voted to shut down the federal government. The frustration across the country is real — and I share it. 9/30/25: All other, Arapahoe, NE: The Furnas County Sheriff’s office is investigating a report of concerning online activity on a child’s tablet with Roblox app. Identified as a possible point of exposure while no explicit content or violence was initially found, portions of the device’s message history appeared to have been deleted.

ELWOOD - The Arapahoe football squad leaned on its defense and special teams while getting just enough offense for a 20-14 win at Hi-Line Friday night. The Warriors rushed for 225 yards, 75 of that coming on a second quarter touchdown run from Hayden Sich, who lead the team with 159 yards on 16 carries.

ARAPAHOE - At the always-challenging Arapahoe Golf Course, Medicine Valley’s Kael Garrett and the Hi-Line girls cross country team took first place at the RPAC Meet Thursday. Garrett ran a 17:44, which was 40 seconds better than second-place Max Hanson of Wallace.

NORTON - It’s not always pretty or efficient, but the Arapahoe volleyball team is finding ways to get the job done. With five-set road victories over Axtell and Norton the past two Tuesdays, sandwiched around sweeps of Northern Valley and Hi-Line, the Warriors have won sixstraight and have pushed their record to 14-8 entering Thursday’s RPAC Tournament.

OXFORD - After a week’s stay in an Omaha hospital healing from injuries from a dog attack, Oxford 7-year-old Drake Schellpeper returned home Thursday to a welcome from family and friends. Schellpeper went out riding his scooter on the afternoon of October 2.
